I went out with Penny this afternoon at Mama Hen's request, because she wanted me to try out a skirt she sewed today. She used the Twirls For Girls pattern over at YouCanMakeThis.com. I just love the way it drapes while I'm riding!
(And yes, I'm still wearing the AG Place shirt from Easter pictures, but it went really well with the skirt.)
I felt like a princess riding in this skirt! It draped over Penny just like a mediaeval gown.
Mama Hen used some old bandannas (did I spell that right?) to add a bit of red.
She also used a sweet lion and giraffe print.
The skirt is perfect for a warm summer day! It's made of cotton, so I can stay cool in the heat.
The best part about this skirt is that you can dance in it!
Some of the patterns remind me of bokeh. :-)
It has such a nice twirl to it!
I had so much fun dancing in it! I was twirling and whirling all around the backyard!
Mama Hen said it reminded her of the handmade dresses she got at a bluegrass music festival in New York.
There are many gathers and ruffles on this skirt, but believe it or not, it wasn't that hard to make!
It's pretty whatever way you turn it.
Mama Hen is practicing taking pictures in front of a white background...
The bottom ruffle is adorable!
Alright, here's the news. I'll let Mama Hen take over from here! Cheerio!
Hi everyone! It's getting closer and closer to our One Year Blogoversary, so I decided to do something special. And it's not just a giveaway or a contest.
I'm opening an Etsy shop!
It's nowhere near ready to actually open, but I'll have everything figured out in time for the Blogoversary (May 6th, by the way). I'm planning on selling skirts like the one Emma is wearing above, and a good many other things. Just bear with me as I get everything sorted out, and check back soon for more updates!
