Daily Life at Pony Tales #1: Breakfast

On Friday morning Samantha woke up before everyone else and began to cook breakfast.

She cracked some eggs into a pan and fried them, then threw some bacon into another dish and put it on the back of the oven to cook.

Trying her best to be quiet, Samantha set out various other foods for her sisters. There was a bowl of fruit, cereal, a few muffins, tea, and hot chocolate.

Hearing the sound of the oven, Emma woke up.

"Hey there Sam," she said groggily, "What are you making?"

"Breakfast, what else?" she replied, not turning away from the food.

"Mmmm...fruit! My favourite,"

"Did someone say food?" Kirsten asked, poking her head out from underneath the covers.

"Yep, breakfast is ready. Come help yourself!"

Kirsten turned to tuck her blankets back around the mattress, then walked to the table.

"Ahhh...delicioso!" she sighed, smiling as she inhaled the smell of fresh bacon.

"Look at all of this food!" Samantha said, "I can't believe I didn't start cooking earlier,"

"Is that bacon I smell?" Felicity asked, leaning over the top of her bunk bed.

"Come on down," Kirsten said, trying to hid a smile, "but first...what in the name of sanity is on your head?"

"Mama Hen wanted to curl my head," she yawned, I...I mean hair," everyone giggled.

Soon, Shola and Mattie woke up and wandered over to the array of food.

The sisters laughed and talked as they shared a noisy and fun-filled breakfast.

These Boots Were Made For Walkin'

Hello readers! Emma here. :) We just got another HUGE load of snow dumped on us and I can't wait to go play in it later! Mama Hen says that because it's so deep we may not be able to go out in it, but we'll see.

I'm not sure if any of you have noticed, but we don't have all that many boots. We have tons of flats and sandals but not rain/knee-high/fall boots.

Well, now we do!

First of all, do you like the dress? It was made with a Lee & Pearl pattern that Mama Hen got for free. It's supposed to be an a-line type dress with pin tucks but Mama Hen likes it just as well with a ribbon sash. :) We had a matching blue sash but it got lost. By the way, this style of dress will be in our Etsy spring selection (more information forthcoming)! (hint hint, wink wink)

Anyways...this is the first pair we got. They're black knee-high boots and they are so cute! They're a little browner than we had hoped, but they still look fine.

Hooray, it's Lissie! She hasn't been in many photoshoots lately on account of her loose limbs, but the boots she's wearing help her stand up with no problems!

Here are the brown boots. These are from the Queen's Treasures store.

Don't they look sweet with the teal skirt and shirt?

Finally, we got these Ugg like sherpa boots from Amazon.

Kirsten was wearing them but she was having a bit of a bad hair she'd rather not be in the pictures. :)

So, what did you think? Mama Hen is in love with all of our new shoes, and I am too!

See you soon!

The Dynamic Duo

Hi everyone! I feel really bad for not posting anything lately. :( It's just snowed so I haven't had time to figure out logistics for taking dolls out, but I will hopefully soon. However, I do have a few not completely recent pictures to share...

Introducing Emma and Mattie...the Dynamic Duo!

These two have a friendship that reminds me of myself and one of my best buddies.

Mattie is very calm and caring...

while Emma is rather loud and funny.

Solving crimes and bringing justice to the citizens of Pony Tales.

I was thinking about superhero duos and detective duos *cough*Sherlock*cough* while I was taking these...can you tell? :-}

I mean, this could seriously be on the cover of a historical detective novel or something. :)

What do you think of a potential revamp of the blog? If you take a look at my personal blog, Life of a Library Girl, I've made changes on there that are similar to the ones I'd make here. Nothing major, just tweaks here and there. Any ideas?
